SUB-INSPECTOR OF SCHOOLS IN THE WEST BENGAL SUBORDINATE EDUCATIONAL SERVICE UNDER THE SCHOOL EDUCATION DEPARTMENT, GOVT. OF WEST BENGAL – NO. OF VACANCIES : THREE HUNDRED AND THIRTY EIGHT [UNRESERVED – ONE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY SIX, SEVENTY-FOUR RESERVED FOR S.C., TWENTY FOR S.T., THIRTY-FOUR FOR O.B.C. CATEGORY ‘A’, TWENTY-FOUR FOR O.B.C. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:
Essential Qualifications:

Second Class Honours or Second Class Master’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent with at least 50% marks in Honours Degree and minimum 55% marks in Madhyamik and 50% marks in Higher Secondary or equivalent from a recognised Board / Council.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Teaching or Education from a recognised University or equivalent.
Good Knowledge of Bengali / Nepali – Spoken and Written.
Ability to undertake extensive tour on official duty.


Desirable Qualifications:

 Teaching experience in Schools.
Proficiency in Games and Sports.
Ability to organize extra-curricular activities.


AGE LIMIT:   Not more than 36 years on 01.01.2018.

 Fee: Rs. 160/- (Rupees one hundred sixty) only. In addition to that, the candidate will be charged as follows:          (i) For online payment through debit/credit cards: Convenience fee 1% of the examination fee subject to a    minimum  of Rs. 5/- (Rupees Five) only plus 18% G.S.T. on convenience fee.          (ii) For online payment through net banking: Convenience fee of Rs. 5/- (Rupees Five) only plus 18% G.S.T. on  convenience fee.          (iii) For offline payment through bank counter: Service Charge of Rs. 20/- (Rupees Twenty) only. S.C./S.T. candidates of West Bengal and Persons with disabilities (P.W.D.) having physical disability of 40% and above are not required to pay any fee. BC candidates of West Bengal are, however, required to pay usual fee as aforesaid. NO EXEMPTION OF FEE IS AVAILABLE TO S.C./S.T. CANDIDATES OF OTHER STATES AND B.C. CANDIDATES. No claim for refund of the fee will be entertained nor will it be held in reserve for any other examination.

NOTE: Offline payment of fees can be made up to the 7TH AUGUST, 2018 at any branch of UBI. However, the Challan for making the payment in bank should be generated by the 6TH AUGUST, 2018.

Written exam : 100 multiple choice questions - 1 marks each. Time duration - 1hour 30minute
